Dr. Kauffman is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in reproductive and forensic psychiatry. She attended the University of Southern California for her undergraduate studies and the University of California San Diego for Medical School. Dr. Kauffman completed her psychiatry residency and fellowship training in reproductive and forensic psychiatry at Columbia University. In addition to her work at The Motherhood Center, she has served as the physician director of the maternal mental health program at Hoag Hospital in California. Dr. Kauffman is particularly interested in the intersection of reproductive mental health and the law.
